Location and parking (see map below)

The Bowling Green is in the NW corner of Alexandra Recreation Ground in Alexandra Road, Epsom, Surrey.

The main entrance to the Recreation Ground is where Alexandra Road (A2022) meets Bridge Road (B288). Bear left for the Green or right for the changing rooms in the pavilion (“Pav” in dark blue). The postcode for this entrance is KT17 4BU; but there is no parking here unless you have a disabled badge.

The official car park (limited space) is 250 yards south-east of the main entrance, at the pedestrian crossing in Alexandra Road – marked “P” in blue. A footpath (left at the end of the car park) takes you direct to the pavilion and green. Ignore the other pavilion near here. The postcode for this entrance is KT17 4BX.

Other parking areas are:
(a) on the roadside in Windmill Lane beside the tennis courts;
(b) a public car park (pay and display, incl. evenings) down the Upper High Street, on the edge of the map past Pikes Hill. Also convenient for the Barley Mow pub, via a gate at the bottom left corner of the car park.
(c) at evenings and weekends only (except Saturday morning), it may be possible to park at the Old Cottage Hospital on the other side of Alexandra Road, marked Health Centre on the map.
